Post Basic B.Sc Nursing - 2 Years

Course Overview

The duration of the course shall be 2 years including internship. The course normally commences from 1st October of the academic year. University examinations are conducted during the month of August of each year (non semester pattern). Medium of instruction is English for all the subjects of study and for the examinations. MMM College of Nursing provides rich clinical experience by posting students at different tie up hospitals apart from MMM Hospital and Government rural & urban health clinics during the course of study.

Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates belonging to all categories for admission to the course of Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing,
(a) Should have qualified in Diploma in Nursing and be a registered Nurse and Midwife from the Tamil Nadu Nursing Council or any other State Nursing Council also registered under the Tamil Nadu Nursing Council accepted by the authority of this University.
(b) After GNM with the Registration certificate from the State Nursing Council, the candidate can be permitted to join in Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing without work experience.
(C) To be eligible for admission to this course, a candidate shall have:
(i) Passed the Higher Secondary or Senior Secondary or Intermediate or 10+2 or an equivalent examination recognized by the University for this purpose.
(ii) Obtained a certificate in General Nursing and Midwifery and registered as R.N.R.M. with the State Nursing Registration Council.
(iii) Every candidate before admission to the course shall submit to the Principal of the institution a certificate of medical fitness from an authorized medical officer that the candidate is physically fit to undergo the academic course.

Upper Age Limit:

There shall be no upper age limit for admission to the first year of post basic B.Sc.Degree Course in Nursing.

Application Process:

Apply through ONLINE @ www.mmmnursingcollege.org.in OR www.madrasmedicalmission.org.in on payment of the prescribed Application Fee of Rs.1550/-. Application fees is non-refundable

Eligibility Certificate

All candidates must obtain their eligibility certificate from “The Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University”, Guindy, Chennai. Eligibility certificate can be applied ONLINE Through University website “tnmgrmuonline.in” on payment of the prescribed fee fixed by the University.

Medical Fitness

Every candidate before admission to the course shall submit the medical fitness certificate from a registered Medical Practitioner that the candidate is physically fit to undergo the academic course and has not suffered from any major disability or any contagious diseases.

Scholarship

Students can avail scholarship like SC/ST, BC and MBC as per their eligibility criteria. Also those who are applying other organization scholarship will be supported as per norms.
