15.07.2019 - YRC Election

The YRC election 2019 took place on 15.07.2019. The following Office bearers were elected by the YRC Volunteers to lead them in the societal activities.

31.07.2019 – Office Bearers Meeting

A meeting was organized for the office Bearers along with the Programme Officer on 31st July 2019, matters regarding the events to be conducted in the academic year 2019-2020 was discussed and provisional YRC calendar for this academic year was created.

August 2019 YRC District level Competitions The volunteers took part in the various inter collegiate competitions conduted by the YRC at IRCS building , Egmore.

11.09.2019 – National Literacy Day

In view of National literacy Day essay writing and elocution competition were conducted to the YRC volunteers and prizes were distributed to the winners.

26.09.2019 – One Day Training Programme for YRC Programme Officers

Mrs.Shanmuga Priya, YRC Programme Officer attended the one day training programme for programme Officers organized by The TN Dr. MGR Medical University along with the YRC Tamil Nadu Branch.

01.10.2019 – National Blood Donor Day

Mrs.Shanmuga Priya YRC Programme Officer along with YRC volunteer Ms. Pramila attended the national blood donor day celebration at The Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University and received the appreciation certificate for organizing various blood donation camps.

17.10.2019- National Disaster Day Celebration

In view of the national disaster day celebration awareness programme on disaster and its management was organized for the School children through Power Point presentation and demonstration at the Union Panchayat School, Nolambur.

20.10.2019 – Blood Donation Camp

Blood donation camp was organized at Valluvar Vasugi Mandapam at Ayapakkam along with The TN Dr. MGR Medical University. In which 25 voluntary donors donated blood.

13.12.2019 - Disaster Management One Day Training Programme

One day disaster management training programme was organized along with the IRCS disaster management team. 152 YRC volunteers had benefited out of the programme.The programme had its start with the inauguration session. God’s presence was invoked by the college choir. The training session started with powerpoint presentation on International Red cross and Red cross crescent movement and history of red cross by Mr. Rajesh, Disaster Management Supervisor. Followed by Basic disaster management by Mr. Lawrence, SERV. In the post lunch session First aid, Bandaging and lifting methods was explained by Mr. Planivel, Trainer, Disaster management team. Followed by demonstration on firefighting , operating extinguisher and safety methods. Students were divided into groups and activities were given.

14.01.2020 - National youth day

In view of National youth day, various competitions like essay writing, collage and fancy dress were conducted. Many YRC volunteers actively participated. The topic for the competitions is the theme of the year youth power and nation building

28.01.2020- YRC centenary year celebration.

30 YRC volunteers along with the Programme officer Mrs. K. Shamuga Priya attended the programme at Kalaivanar Arangam.

14.02.2020 - YRC day.

In view of YRC day YRC flag hoisting was done. The Principal Dr.Rosaline Rachel, hoisted the YRC flag at the College premises. The volunteers took pledge and sang the YRC song.
